Life has its twists and turns. The path to a peaceful, harmonious life is never really a straight, perfect line upwards. Sometimes we make mistakes that lead to regrettable consequences. Sometimes, there are unexpected challenges and obstacles that lead to difficult feelings to negotiate. And other times, we are exposed to unwanted traumas that affect us to the core. This is why, at The Mindful Practice of Metuchen, I have chosen the "unalome" to demonstrate what I aim to achieve with my clients. You can find this symbol in the logo for the practice. The unalome is a representation of the process behind achieving harmony in our lives. The spiral represents all the struggles that we may encounter throughout our course of living, while the straight line represents the moment we achieve that harmony we have always been looking for.
Whether you’re dealing with worry and anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply feeling stuck in life, there is a way forward. It may not happen overnight, but with patience and support, change is possible—and hope is real.
You don’t have to face this alone.
At The Mindful Practice of Metuchen, I understand that everyone’s story is different. That’s why I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs and goals. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I take a collaborative and thoughtful approach, helping you explore the patterns that may be holding you back—so you can tap into your strengths and begin seeing yourself and your life through a more compassionate, adaptive lens.
My work is rooted in evidence-based practices like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Exposure Therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I also have a special interest in supporting South Asian clients who are navigating cultural identity, family dynamics, and the challenges of balancing two worlds.
It’s completely normal to feel hesitant about reaching out for help. But choosing to take that first step is a powerful act of courage. It means you're ready to invest in yourself, to heal, and to move toward a life that feels more peaceful, grounded, and aligned with who you truly are.
If you’re ready to start your healing journey—or even just thinking about it—I’m here to walk alongside you.
