Life has its twists and turns. The path to a peaceful, harmonious life is never really a straight, perfect line upwards. Sometimes we make mistakes that lead to regrettable consequences. Sometimes, there are unexpected challenges and obstacles that lead to difficult feelings to negotiate. And other times, we are exposed to unwanted traumas that affect us to the core. This is why, at The Mindful Practice of Metuchen, I have chosen the "unalome" to demonstrate what I aim to achieve with my clients. You can find this symbol in the logo for the practice. The unalome is a representation of the process behind achieving harmony in our lives. The spiral represents all the struggles that we may encounter throughout our course of living, while the straight line represents the moment we achieve that harmony we have always been looking for.
Whether you battle with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other personal issue, you should know that there is always hope for a better tomorrow. It is just a matter of patiently getting there.
You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you choose to rise to the occasion and begin the process of healing yourself, you will feel confident that you are taking a courageous and powerful first step towards overcoming your battles, finding your path to a more peaceful place, and evolving into a better version of you.
Here at The Mindful Practice of Metuchen, I realize that no two people are the same, and we tailor therapy to meet your specific needs as an individual. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I love helping people understand the issues that are holding them back with an in-depth and collaborative approach. You can read more in the "About" section, but I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Gottman Couples Therapy. After recognizing underlying problems, clients can fully realize their strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things through a healthier and adaptive lens. I look forward to helping you down your path of enlightenment and harmony.
Depending on your preference, I offer both in-person and teletherapy (online) sessions. My practice specializes in treating Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Cultural Issues, and Couples Work.
If you're interested in becoming a happier, more fulfilled you, I'd love to work with you every step of the way. I look forward to hearing from you!
